In this diagram the telephone traffic uses an IP line (dedicated or public) to arrive to our switching infrastructure. We then take responsibility to deliver the call to its final destination. |

In addition, if you have a smart PBX such as one of Lexatel's distributions of Asterisk (Silver Line), you can route your outgoing calls via different operators depending on the destination of the call. For example every time you dial a local call your phone system will send the call to your traditional fixed phone line or lines; and every time you dial an international number the call will be sent transparently to Lexatel. This allows you to realize savings with zero incremental effort or complication.
